I am one of the people, as an Air Cadet, who was taught the wonders of flying by Regina Jordan back in 1959. Even though a lot of time has passed since then I still have very vivid memories of those days. Although I was not exactly a gifted pilot Regina's skill and patience got me through. My brother Pat was a student pilot the next year, being taught by Bruce Carter. Bruce had an easier time with Pat than Regina did trying to teach me. On her passing, our sincere condolences to Regina's loved ones.

Family of Gina Jordan
I was very saddened to hear of Gina's passing, she taught many Air Cadets to fly, including myself. She gave many others their first thrill of flight.

I was privileged to meet Gina last year when she was awarded the Elsie MacGill Northern Lights Award trophy for the "Flight Operations/Maintenance" category. We were all so pleased that was nominated for this prestigious award, and that the judges agreed she was a stellar candidate. That Gina was able to attend was a testament to her strong will, and I'm sure a part of that was her desire to be among the aviation community she so dearly loved! Heart-felt condolences to her family and friends, near and far.

My condolences on this sad news. Gina shared with me many stories of her flying - and I will pass those stories on to others for many years to come. She is an inspiration - and all of us in the Turnbull Chapter, CAHS, will never forget her gentle ways and her love of flying.

Gina was an amazing woman. My life was infinitely better because she was in it. Although I was on the other side of the radio she was a mentor, a friend and an individual that you looked up to and didn't want to disappoint. She always had wonderful stories to tell. I have wonderful memories with Gina. I went golfing and skiing with her. She was so patient. I still smile when I think about the 'flyable list'. My son remembers her visits. She was a memorable person. I've been thinking a lot about Gina recently and I am sorry I didn't make that phone call while she had the time. Gina you are loved! Fly with the angels my friend.

Please pass our condolences to Gina's family. Gina was my late fathers (Ronald Jones) cousin. We spent time together when I was younger and moved to Edmonton for a while when she was in Calgary. She took time to show me Banff National Park and even talked me in to climbing up a mountain side. I was eagerly looking for another way back down but with my knees shaking she talked me in to not being a whimp and we safely got to the bottom again and went for lunch. She was a remarkable lady and we have comfort in knowing she has gone to be with the Lord.

To the family of Gina Jordan:
It is with great sadness that we learned of Gina's passing.. I have only recently thought of her and was intending to call again as the last time we spoke she said, "Please call again soon"... I am sorry I hadn't.
She was my first flying instructor in 1961 at Greenwood Flying Club, we spent many hours in the cockpit of the Fleet Canuck, TriPacer, Cessna 175 and Piper Commanche 250. We also flew together in my Cessna 180 years later.
All of these were great memories, and I shall never forget her kind and gentle persuasion.
Sincerely Robert and Ruth Clark
