Melody Dawn (Seeley) Steeves

It is with immeasurable sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Melody Dawn (Seeley) Steeves on Saturday, December 19th, 2015.  Melody was the daughter of Melva Murray of Blacks Harbour and the late George Seeley of Beaver Harbour. Born at 25 weeks’ gestation in May 1973, Melody was a miracle baby from the time she entered the world. She beat all odds through her resiliency. “Mrs. Steeves” was a beloved member of the faculty of St. Malachy’s Memorial High School where she worked for 16 years.

Melody will be deeply missed by her husband, Jason, of Saint John, children Rodney, Brittany and Emma, brothers Stephen Murray of St. Stephen, David Murray of Blacks Harbour, and Rick (Lisa) Murray of Pennfield, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Melody’s memory to Forest Hills Baptist Church or the Canadian Mental Health Association.  Arrangements entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visiting Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.  The Funeral Service will take place Wednesday, December 23rd, 2015 from Forest Hills Baptist Church at 11 am.  Interment will take place at a later date.
