Marion P. Robichaud

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Marion Patricia Robichaud which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, June 13th, 2016.  Born 1923, in Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Comeau) Robicheau.  Marion was a well-known Canadian Artist, known for her aboriginal paintings, sceneries, and portraits.  She donated many of her paintings for charitable auctions.  She painted the Stations of the Cross at St. Ann’s Catholic Church and an enormous canvas for Stella Maris Catholic Church.  Marion was a deeply religious and devoted Catholic.

Marion is survived by her sons Roy Robicheau of Toronto, Richard “Ricky” Robicheau (Linda) of Ontario; daughter Sharon “Sherry” Cliff (Ronald) of Brampton, ON; sisters Avis Dempster of Saint John, Doris “Dot” Campbell of Hamilton, ON; grandchildren Angela, David, Sean, Melanie, Andrew and Amanda; as well as several great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, Marion was predeceased by her brothers Reginald, Adrian, Arnold and Eric Robicheau and sisters Dorothy Robicheau and Bernice Campbell. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Wednesday, June 15th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will take place from Stella Maris Catholic Church on Thursday, June 16th at 12 noon followed by an interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
