Haven't lived in New Brunswick for 20 years but I always considered Skip to be a good friend when i lived in N.B. and since then he has always welcomed me whenever I visited. Without him I would still not know who "The Sons of the Pionerrs" were Tumbling Tumbleweeds lyrics
Cares of the past are behind,
Nowhere to go, but I'll find,
Just where the trail will wind,
Drifting along with the tumblin' tumbleweeds . . .

Saddened to hear about your great loss. Skip was often at our Uncle Roger's camp in the Narrows, which was where we thoroughly enjoyed his pleasant company. He always brought a smile and a chuckle to everyone around. He will be missed. Cherish the memories. Todd&Jocelyn

Lyn and Judy,
The Tracey family and the Van Tassel family have a long history with many fond memories of "family" get-togethers. Skippy was always laughing, smiling and making jokes (usually at somebody's expense...and....I think his name was Aulden :). We will always remember Skip for those great times. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

To Skip's family,
I wish to express my deepest sympathy on Skip's passing. Skip was instrumental in my seeking employment with NBTel. I had many great years there and many wonderful memories of dealing with Skip both around the company and also through his right-of-way work as it affected my own properties. He represented the best of NBTel and he will be missed by many.

With our Deepest Condolences . . .
I'M FREE
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free. I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard him call. I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day to laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way, I found that place at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, ah yes, these things, I too, will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much, good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all to brief; don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free.
"DEATH LEAVES A HEARTACHE NO ONE CAN HEAL, LOVE LEAVES A MEMORY NO ONE CAN STEAL"
It's the little things, the small, everyday occurrences that we’ll all remember. The laughs, the stories, the smiles. And even though it seems like you can never recover from your loss, it is these very memories that will help push the pain away and bring back the smiles.
Thinking of you all with heartfelt condolences, May you find comfort in remembering the beautiful memories we have all shared with Skip.
An Angel is watching over you!

AND OH NO you never would turn off Hank Snow if you were in the VanTassel cottage. The field days, our kids growing up, those are the times to remember. Rest in peace Skip.
