Welcome to the memorial page for

Elizabeth "Patty" Beamish

January 4, 2016

It is with profound sadness the family announces the passing of Elizabeth Patricia (Patty) Beamish on Monday, January 4, 2016, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

Patty was the daughter of Viola May Beamish (Smith) and the late Raymond Edward Beamish of Saint John. Born on November 29, 1950, Patty was the sweetest, kindest person and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. She graduated from Saint Vincent’s High School in 1968 and after raising her family, went back to NBCC to obtain her diplomas in both Business Technology and BITS and later attained her Certified Management Accounting designation. Patty was a happy, positive, smart, kind and organized lady. Throughout her career she worked for NBTel, the JDI group and because she wanted to spend more time caring for her loved ones, she concluded her career and retired as an auditor with Canada Revenue Agency. She was past president of the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC’s) Saint John, NB Branch and the Federal superannuate retirement organization. She was an active blood donor, contributed her time and effort to a variety of benevolent causes and enjoyed her membership at the Aquatic Centre. Patty was well known as someone who gave 100% of herself to every organization or anyone who was in need of her assistance.

Patty will be deeply missed by her loved ones, John Parlee (the sparkle in her life), her children Steven (Bonnie) Dalling and Stacey (Les) Pugh, grandchildren Tyler Dalling and Kayla (Justin) Beck, and great granddaughter Payton Beck, her sisters Nancy (Bernie) Murphy, Debbie (Kevin) Ferguson and Cathy (Les) Graham all from the Saint John and surrounding area and her many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles cousins and friends.

Patty’s family would like to express their utmost gratitude to the staff of the ICU of the Saint John Regional Hospital. Linda, your kindness in caring for Patty was greatly appreciated.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation Wednesday, January 6 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The Funeral Service will take place Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 2 pm from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada, the Vasculitis Foundation of Canada, the Children’s Wish Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
