I was reminiscing a bit tonight about my childhood and found myself thinking of my old elementary school principal. You see I attended Hammond Elementary in Maple Ridge BC from 1985-1992. When I began thinking of Miss Keddy I decided to google her and with great sadness, discovered her passing. Although this is many months too late, I wish to send my deepest condolences to her family. She was a wonderful, warm and caring woman that many years later, I still think of fondly and with a smile. I've always had the upmost respect for her, and I'm thankful for her guidance and the experiences she helped facilitate in my early life. Thank you, Miss Keddy. May you rest in peace.

Carole you will be missed by so many people out here in British Columbia where you spent a lot of years. Last time I talked to you I didn't realize it would be the last time - will miss you old friend "until we meet again". Paul, Kate, Jay and Riley will miss you too Auntie Carole.
All our love.

We had the privilege of working with Carole in Maple Ridge, B.C. in the early 90's. We were first year teachers hired by Carole who was the principal of Hammond Elementary. Unbeknownst to us at the time, her choice in hiring us formed a bond that has linked us to this day. Carole was a generous and colourful leader at our school with a wonderful sense of humour. We will treasure the memories she has given us. We always thought we would one day have an opportunity to reminisce with Carole about those early days in our career. Sadly, life is so fleeting and Carole has begun a new journey. We will miss her. Wendy McKay and Kim Farley
