My heart goes out to the entire Moore Family during this difficult and very sad time. Wayne persevered at anything he did and was a true competitor. Not only have we lost a tremendous ohckey player and avid hunter, but more importantly, a great Father, Son, Brother, and Uncle! He will be sorely missed by all those who have had the opportunity to have known him. Rest in Peace Wayne and God Bless.....

Bertha and Family - I made many trips to your home in Mispec back in the 1970s and 1980s as Bertha, a gifted knitter, made many sweaters for me and my children back then. My condolances to Wayne's family. I played with Wayne on the Jolly Rogers Oldtimers for a few years and we had plenty of laughs and a few beers too. He will be greatly missed. He was a wonderfull teammate. I have lost a Daughter and to his Family I will just say that-- The hole he has left will never be filled but over time the good memories will rise to the top and help soften the loss. I can't imagine the pain you must be feeling right now. I remember all the great times we had together in Garnett Settlement in our younger years, and how he used to chase us with eels from the brook, playing ball in the field, hockey on the pond, our great skidoo trips from Garnett Settlement to Mispec....such a great many more memories that were nothing but fun and scary(ha). I had my first ride on the Zipper at the EX with Wayne and to this day, I've never got back on!!!he never stopped rocking it to scare me and it worked, as he laughed the whole time! I look back with a big smile at these times that I'll never forget and see what a big part of my summers he was and it sure hurts now to think that he's gone. Sending this condolence is the hardest thing I have ever done and only wish I could be there to tell you in person. Wayne was such a special person to all and I can especially remember the times he and I shared from the days at the “mudhole”, to sharing the “Vitos” experience to our fishing excursions to Balls Lake. I remember the excitement he showed when he built the home for his family. The thing that will always stand out for me is Wayne always stuck up for the underdog, even at his own peril. My heart goes out to you and may you all be strong in this sorrowful time.
