Vincent A. Dempsey

Dempsey - The death of Vincent A. Dempsey of 20 Lomond Court, husband of the late Z. Dawn (Conwell) Dempsey occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital of December 5, 1998. Born in Jacquet River, N. B. he was the son of the late Arthur and Josephine (Landry) Dempsey. Vincent spent a lifetime on the open waters. In recent years he had been employed with the CN Princess of Acadia and throughout his life he worked for Various Ocean Liners and Great Lake Liners. He is survived by three sons, Kirk Dempsey of Ontario, Paul Dempsey (Jamie) of Halifax, N.S. and Jamie Dempsey (Bertha) of Saint John; two daughters, Laurie of Ontario and Dale Menard (Stephen) of Saint John; a brother Roger Dempsey of Saint John and a sister Leona Alchorn of Saint John; six grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Dempsey was predeceased by sisters Clara, Viola and Sheila and brothers Leander and Glenford.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visiting hours on Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 9, at 1:00 P.M. at the First United Pentecostal Church, Mark Drive with Lic. Jeff Mills officiating. Interment to take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
