The family of Twyla Adele Keleher (nee Wallace) wish to announce her passing at home, in Rothesay, on February 27, 2017. Mom was born in Saint John to the late Gyles and Loretta Wallace. She was the youngest of five children. Mom worked as a nurse at Saint Joseph’s Hospital. She married William Keleher in 1958. They, eventually, moved to their forever home at Woodman’s Point, NB, to raise their family. People who encountered, volunteered or worked with Mom quickly recognized her generous nature and compassionate spirit.
Mom devoted herself to creating a home that became the focal point of many happy holidays and wonderful celebrations. In later years, she took great pleasure in her relationships with her grandchildren: Paul Armstrong, Olivia Keleher, John Keleher and Michael Keleher. Mom was predeceased by her devoted husband William; her brother Edmund (Ann) and her four sisters Marie Ross (John), Bunnie Sisk (Jack), Adrienne Wallace and Anita Kennedy (Nicholas).
Mom will be fondly remembered by her daughter Ann Armstrong (Joseph) of Rothesay, her sons Patrick of Fredericton, Thomas (Sophia Guitard) of Saint John, Michael of Calgary, Daniel of Woodman’s Point and David of Rothesay; special friends Dr. Anna-Marie MacKinnon of Millidgeville and Janet Murray of Sussex; and several nieces and nephews.
