It is with profound sadness that we announce that Tim died on September 13, 2013. It was his wish to stay at home after spending the summer doing what he wanted: spending quality time with Gisele and attending music festivals.
Born in Saint John on September 26, 1955, he was the eldest son of Robert and Phyllis (Pearce) Colwell. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Gisele Allard, step-son Daniel Gaudet (Ginny Hachey), step-granddaughter Charlotte and step-son Eric Gaudet (Gabrielle Cormier); daughters Megan (Jon Forward), Elizabeth (Ryan Graves) and Susan (Nick Fowler); brother David (Sara Cusack), niece Grace; and sister Wendy (Art Gallant), nephew Samuel.
A mechanical engineer by training (BSc., PEng), Tim worked as a project engineer in several Atlantic Provinces' cities. In 2011, he had the opportunity for re-training and enrolled in the Accounting program at NBCC-Saint John where he had the good luck to be in the same class as his eldest daughter, Megan.
He enjoyed singing and playing his Takamine acoustic guitar and could get the crowd going with his rendition of Brown Eyed Girl.
Tim's life was too short. He was proud of his daughters, overjoyed at having met Gisele and happy with his life. He will be missed and remembered by his family and friends.
Cremation has taken place. Arrangements are in the care of Fundy Funeral Home (646-2424). Visiting hours and condolences to the family are scheduled for Monday September 16, 2013 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A celebration of life will be held at Fundy Funeral Home on Tuesday September 17, 2013 at 11 am.
Special thanks to the oncology team at SJRH and the Kennebecasis Valley Extra-Mural. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tim's name to the KV Extra-Mural Foundation.
