I was thinking about Mr. Broderson just today and wondering how he might be doing. I am saddened to see that he has passed. I am one of the young hockey players who was fortunate enough to have know this fine man. Indeed, he did drive me to many games and practices as he prepared our team for our adventure at the International Pee Wee Hockey tournament at the Quebec Winter Carnival. I have spoken of Thor with affection, my whole life and remain ever grateful for al he did for our team and me.

Blake, Phil and Leif,
Sorry to hear that Uncle Thor passed and offer condolences from myself and my family. I remember him showing me how to throw a ball more efficiently so that it did not ruin my shoulder. That was before most people realized that a bad technique could injure you forever.

Losing a parent is such a difficult thing. There are so many times I long to talk to my Mom and Dad. What a privilege to have had good parents. You will miss your Dad, Blake. And there is no easy way to get through this but daily, depending on the grace and strength of God.

Dear Brodersen Family:
Our Grandparents were great friends and through them, our father's knew each other for decades. In recent years, we were always so delighted to see and speak with him at the Christmas Eve service at the Hope Lutheran Church. He always greeted us with a big smile and strong handshake. And he always looked so debonair in his brightly colored blazers. We know Thor is a big loss for your family and we extend our heartfelt condolences.

To Leif, Blake, Phil and families. I am so sad to hear of Thors passing. He was a great man whom I admired so much. He taught me many thing during the years he worked with us and his advice was always so sound and so wise. I have missed his presence at my office greatly these last couple years and to learn he is now gone leaves me stunned and so very saddened. Thor was always fond of telling me, with his huge smile, that he had a special place waiting for him in heaven. I believe he was right, and I'm sure he's smiling down on you all now. I'm so sorry I couldn't pay my respects to Thor in person - I just learned the terrible news moments ago and the service is already in progress. Thor was a man to be respected and admired and I for one will truly miss him. I am so very sorry for your loss.

Philip, Jayne and Family;
Sincere condolences to your entire family on your Dad's passing.....there is NEVER enough time with such cherished loved ones!
I have many fond memories of your Dad over the years of my upbringing. I remember how my Dad (Hartley Beesley), respected your Dad's many accomplishments in the Business and Recreational worlds. They were friends and Business men for sure.....however; it was your Dad's enthusiastic and infectious love for Christ that stands out in my memory as being the solid value they both embraced!
I know there is much celebration in Heaven at your Dad's homecoming and am confident you WILL see him again. I pray this "Blessed Hope" brings you comfort at this time!

Leaders and members of Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship in Canada extend our love and deepest sympathy in your loss. Thor is remembered as a very bright leader who exhibited unlimited energies, a remarkably keen mind and a very colorful personality and sense of humor that only he could get away with. It was indeed an honour to have worked shoulder-to-shoulder with Thor. We all loved him and indeed will miss him until we gather again in the presence of our precious Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! What a glorious day and reunion that will be! We are praying for His embracing comfort to be with you at this time.

Dear Phil, Jane and family,
We are so very sorry to read of the passing of your Father. We have known Thor for so many years, first through my Dad's friendship with him at The Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship. We often passed exchanges and stories with Thor at The Mediterannean Restaurant, The Ponderosa or at Church. Your Father was known for his "colourful" suits and very few people could pull off a canary yellow or turquoise suit...but Thor could. Tom and I often thought he looked so much like Lawrence Welk...they could pass as brothers. Thor will long be remembered by everyone who chanced to meet him or know him for his many business ventures.
We are so sorry for your loss and wish we could be there to give you a hug and share a funny story. Unfortunately, we are out of town for a family wedding and will miss his home going. Until the day we all meet in heaven...for now...it is "so long, dear man, until we meet again!"

I had the pleasure of meeting Thor the first time at a Ponderosa restaurant in the mid-1990's. Thor was quick to engage anyone he didn't know and I was no exception. As soon as he found out I was short of work, he immediately told me to come in to the family sign shop on Monday and they'd find some hours for me. That job led to more and I can say I'm a Saint John resident now because he gave me a foothold to start from. I didn't see Thor often after that, but he was a man who filled a room just by walking in ... and if you didn't know he was there from his voice- the suit normally confirmed it for you. My wife and I would like to share our condolences to his family and we are praying for you.
