It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Theodore James Collrin on February 6th 2017, peacefully at home in his sleep at the age of 74. Born October 9, 1942 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Theodore James and Agnes Ann (Purcell) Collrin.
Ted is survived by his wife of 50 years Audrey Ann (Savoy), son Mark Anthony "Tony", and daughter Cynthia (Tony) Sheehan, cherished granddaughters Julia Kathleen, Rachel Elizabeth, and Meredith Megan Sheehan who were the apple of their grandfathers' eye. Brothers Barry (Deanna) and Christopher (Sheila Dolan) Collrin of Ontario and sister Susan Collrin of BC.
Also survived by sisters-in-law Joan McEachern (late Terry), Donna Savoy, brothers-in-law Sam MacArthur (late Marjorie), Gerald (Sonny)(Jean) Savoy, Eddie (Dawn) Savoy, Albert (Cheryl) Savoy, Robert (Faye) Savoy , and several nieces, nephews and many friends. Along with his parents, Ted was predeceased by his son Jamie Theodore (2013) and an infant brother Mark. He was a dyed-in-the-wool Irish North ender, and rarely met anyone he couldn't trace back to that area of town. He loved to talk and reminisce about the old days spent growing up there.
Ted worked at Irving Pulp and Paper from 1974-1999. In his retirement he enjoyed playing golf, driving his red Corvette and going to the Aquatic Centre where he was a member since it's opening. He loved to go to Slocum and Ferris with the coffee crew afterwards for a drink and a chat. Recently he attended the weekly retirees breakfast at the Dolan Road Irving. He was a member of St Ann's Church and a dedicated member of the 3rd degree K of C #6595 and 4th degree K of C #937.
Special thanks to good friends and neighbours Mickey and Jean McMullin who have been a blessing in the past year of Ted's declining health, along with countless other angels.
