Roberta “Bobbie” Barrett loving mother, sister, and grandmother passed away on June 22, 2013 at the Loch Lomond Villa. Born 1926, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Gertrude (Winters) Stiles. Roberta was a Sunday school teacher, Pioneer leader, and worked with the youth group as well as the ladies Harambee group at Main Street Baptist Church for many years. Bobbie also loved to do puzzles. She is survived by her loving daughters Carol (Robert) Craig and Christine (Lawrence) Damon both of Saint John; 3 grandchildren Stephanie (Jeff) White, Tim Damon, and Michael (Rana) Craig and 3 great grandchildren Jenna, Gaelen and Declan. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband James; brother Ronald; sister Muriel; grandson Andrew; and great granddaughter Amira.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitations on Tuesday June 25, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday June 26, 2013 at 10 a.m. with the interment following at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Donations in Roberta’s memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of one’s choice.
