Peter Gordon Tingley

The death of Peter Gordon Tingley of Quispamsis, loving husband of 38 years to Jean (Constantine) Tingley occurred on Wednesday August 4, 2010 surrounded by his loving family at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1950 in Saint John, he was the son of the late  Arthur and Beatrice (McKinnon) Tingley. Peter worked for the City of Saint John. He was member of the St. Martin’s Lodge # 30 Masonic Order and Deputy Chief of the Bradley Lake Fire Dept. Devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.  Besides wife Jean, Peter is survived by his sons Shawn, Peter and Ryan (Shelly Lindsey) all of Quispamsis; brothers Stewart (Rose) Scarling of Richibucto, Arthur (Barb) Tingley and Gary (Geraldine) Tingley; sister Cynthia (Kevin) Hubbard all of Saint John; grandchildren Dominick and Ashlynn, nieces, nephews and many friends. Besides his parents, Peter was predeceased by two nephews Arthur Tingley, Jr. and Stuart Steen.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Thursday August 5 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday August 6 at 10:30 a.m. Donations in memory of Peter may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
