Paul Henry Godin

The passing of Paul Henry Godin occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday January 28, 2015 after a lengthy period of poor health. He was born on July 17, 1953 in Saint John and attended Loch Lomond Elementary School and was a graduate of Simonds High School Class of 1973. He was the son of the late Maurice and Frances (Rennie) Godin. Paul was employed for a time with Saint John Shipbuilding then returned to his early interest in drafting receiving his diploma in 1981 from the NBCC, St. Andrews Campus . He was employed soon afterward by NB Power at the Point Lepreau generating Station. Paul also spent time as a Taxi Driver in Saint John.  His passions and pastimes were writing poetry and dabbling in painting. Paul is survived by his sisters Linda Hachey (Clovis), Margaret Parlee (Doug) and Ruby Godin; half-sister Karen Midlige; brothers Gilbert, Michael and Andrew Godin (Rhonda King); God Daughter Simone Crawford, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and friends. Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) by request there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday February 2, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Private family interment at a later date. Donations in Paul’s memory can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
