It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Alice “Maude” Andrews which occurred at Turnbull Nursing Home on Friday, April 25th, 2014. Born 1910, in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary (Maston) Andrews. Maude was formerly of the New Brunswick Professional Engineers and was employed with them for many years.
Maude is survived by her nephew Thomas Andrews (Jean) of Grandbay- Westfield; nieces Frances Thorne (Robert), Patricia Lawrence (Kenneth) and Katherine Veniero; half siblings Malcolm Andrews, Helen MacFarlane, Joana Gillies and Janet Andrews. Besides her parents, Maude was predeceased by her brother Hugh Edgar Andrews.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). By request from the family there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery at a later date. Donations in Maude’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
