I became acquainted with Mark many years ago on the music scene.  I remember how much he loved to sing. I can still see him with his long hair, white shirt and blue jeans racing up to the microphone!

A gentle and endearing soul with a kind heart - taken away much too early!

You are not alone in your sadness - warm thoughts and deepest sympathy are with you.

To all of Mark's family members:

So sorry to hear of the Mark's passing.  I met Mark last year in the uptown area and have spoken with him different times when I would see him.  Mark was such a gentle and loving person, always very polite every time I would speak with him, he always took the time to stop to say "hello" and I will certainly miss seeing him around.  It was an honor to know Mark and I pray God's strength for each one of you at this time and may you be able to take pleasure in all of the fond memories that Mark has left with you.

Respectfully,

Michele Israel.

People don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care about them,  and that was Mark Steven Fryer.  It was such a privilege to have known Mark, he will be missed but will never be forgotten. Mark's pride and joy was his daughter Jessica, when he talked about her he would light up like a soft glowing candle. He had goals and dreams that were sadly cut short, but through all of his friendsand family I believe can be and will be honoured on this day.

Dear Mark's partner & daughter,Sharon, Lynn, Michelle & Colleen,

Even though we have lost contact over the years, hearing this news today makes me very sad for you all. We were a part of each others lives in Lr. Sackville and I send my deepest condolences to all of you. A few years ago I tracked Mark down via telephone and we had a great chat remembering our lives in Sackville, even though it was Colleen I was looking for. Our prayers are with you all at this sad time.

I remember Mark as a Teenager who loved music and spent a lot of time in his basement room. His mom always made french fries for us. As a pre-teen I looked up to Mark. I spent a lot of my time with Colleen a good friend,  Marks sister. I did not know the Adult Mark. My prayers to the family.

I met Mark 3 years ago and seen him at least 3 times per week since, it was a pleasure to meet him.  We often discussed hockey, music and talked about life.  I will miss these talks.   The thing Mark talked about most was Jessica his daughter wether expressing his love or how excited he was after a phone call. Mark was a shinning light when it came to helping others, I witnessed many times Mark trying to help others either with encouraging words or offering his support most times without consideration for himself.  Mark would often tell me his fear of confrontation and how he wished he was braver.  A few weeks ago I seen Mark show courage in a way few would.  Mark witnessed a man holding his fist to a womans head threatening to strike her.  Mark without care for his own safety confronted the man and caused him to run away.  That is true courage!  I am proud to call Mark my friend, and feel for your loss.

I feel very priviledged to have known Mark.  I seen him almost every Sunday and always liked to talk to him.  He was a  gentle man, who was decent and kind to me.  He truly cared for people and was always grateful.  I enjoyed the hymns he sang, and I was aware of his struggles.  I send my prayers out to his daughter and family.  Warmest regards  Claudia

We are so very sorry for the loss of Mark.  We just meet him when we started Outflow a couple of years ago, but quickly found him to be a regular and at times very entertaining.  Mark loved the times he was able to get up and sing during worship, and always, always was so proud to share about his beautiful daughter Jessica when he was asked about her....oh the pride he had the night you first came with him to Outflow Jessica and he brought you back to introduce you to us in the kitchen...he thanked us for all our prayers in regards to the opportunity he was given to reconnect with you.  We are very greatful that we had the opportunity to meet Mark and Sunday nights at OUTFLOW will always be missing him!  May God be with you all and give you the strength needed as you go through this difficult time.

In Christ,

Ann Marie, Troy & Josiah
