Malcolm Hoar of Appleby Drive, Rothesay, passed away at his home Saturday April 17,2004. A non smoker who fought a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Mac is survived by his loving wife Cindy (Gould) Hoar, two devoted children Adam and Chelsea both at home. His Mom Marion (Briggs) Fenton. One sister Tina (Dougie) Doyle of Carsonville N.B. Grandmother Del (Power) Hoar and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncle's. Mac was predeceased by his father Maurice and stepfather Bernie Fenton. Grandfathers, Walter Hoar, and Arthur Briggs and Grandmother Dorothy Briggs .
Mac was a man who lived life to the fullest. Speed was his middle name" If fuel wasn't being burnt, you weren't having fun." Mac tried his hand at everything and was good at everything he did. Fishing, duck, deer and moose hunting was his passion. He was an avid snowmobiler, belonging to the Fundy Trail Riders and was an active member, helping in everyway and grooming trails for all. Boating and camping with his family and friends was always an adventure with a famous saying of "Rules are made to be broken" Anything Mac did was at full run, it was the only way he would have it.
Mac started working at Brookville manufacturing for Derek O'land in 1975 at the young age of 20. Mac climbed the ladder from Mill operator, maintenance, Mill Foreman, Assistant General manager, General Manager to Owner in 1995.
