Lillian M. King

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Lillian May (Newman) King which occurred at Carleton Kirk Nursing Home on Wednesday, October 18th, 2017.  Born 1917, in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Savoie) Newman.  Lillian will be remembered lovingly by her family as a gentle, loving, caring mother who made a great apple pie.  She loved to sing and bake.  She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Lillian is survived by her sons Robert (Debra), Bill (Ruth); daughter Betty (Gordon); grandchildren Angie, Dede, Melissa, Jill, Monica, Cecil and Robert; several great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.  Besides her parents, Lillian was predeceased by her husband Ernest, infant son Ernest,  son Paul, brothers Albert, Earl, Eddie, John, Herman and sisters Elsie, Muriel, and Elizabeth.

Thanks to the wonderful, loving care Lillian received at Carleton Kirk.  Also, to Shirley Robichaud for her care over the years and all other caregivers.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with a Funeral Service taking place from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Saturday, October 21st at 10 a.m.  Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.  Donations in memory of Lillian may be made to The Kidney Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
