Kevin G. MacVicar

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Kevin Gibson MacVicar which occurred unexpectedly on Sunday, March 6th, 2016.  Born 1972, in Sydney, NS, he was the son of Elizabeth "Betty” (Gibson) and the late Gordon MacVicar.  Kevin was a Firefighter with the Saint John Airport.  He was an avid outdoorsman and he loved the lake and boat.  He had a passion for building things and he enjoyed going four wheeling.  Kevin loved his family and friends, but most of all, he cherished every moment spent with his “little munchkins”.

Besides his mother, Kevin is survived by his loving and devoted wife Charity (Fancy); his precious children Scarlett and Vaughn; brother Andrew MacVicar of Saint John; sister Amy Peters (Jason) of Saint John; nieces and nephews Bronwyn, Mercedes, Matthew and Bryson; as well as many friends. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Thursday, March 10th from 2 to 8 p.m.  A Memorial Service will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Friday, March 11th at 2 p.m.  Interment will take place at a later date.  Donations in Kevin’s memory may be made to the SPCA-Animal Rescue, The Diabetes Association, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
