Joseph Cormier

With heavy hearts the family of Joseph Jean Cormier, loving husband to the late Frances (Gionet) Cormier, announces his passing on Monday April 17, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1924 in St. Maurice, NB he was the son of the late James and Marceline (Arsenault) Cormier. Joseph was a faithful member of Stella Maris Catholic Church. Joseph is survived by his children Gary (Louise Bedard) Cormier, Doris O’Neill, Gloria (Gary McAdam) Boyd and Andrea (Kevin) Baxter; brother Adelard Cormier; grandchildren Joseph, Terry, Michael, Jennifer, Bradley, Colin; step-grandchildren Eric, Melanie and Randy; great-grandchildren Julianna, Luc, Lexie and Ronan; several nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his son Raymond; brothers Hector, Willie, Edmond, Fred, Yvonne and Oscar; sisters Azelie Gallant, Mary Robichaud, Alice Cormier, Clara Vautour and Elizabeth Cormier.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road on Wednesday April 19, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Stella Maris Catholic Church on Thursday April 20, 2017 at 12:05 p.m.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
