Doucette- The death of John Paul Doucette of Westmorland Road loving husband of Jeannine (Arsenault) Doucette occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on March 22, 19999. Born in East Collette, N.B. he was the son of the late Etienne Doucette and Emilie (Bernard) Doucette. He was welder for the Boiler Makers Union Local 73 for 42 years retiring in 1996. He was a 4th Degree Knight, Council 6770 the French Council, Knights of Columbus. A member of St. Ann's Church and St. Francois de Sales as well as a member of the 30 Up Club. John loved life to the fullest and enjoyed the outdoors immensely. J A devoted son, loving husband and cherished father he will be missed by his mother, and wife, Jeannine, as well as, two sons, Paul (Kim) Willow Grove and Phillip (Elizabeth) of Saint John; two daughters, Pauline of Willow Grove and Denise (Kevin) Maloney of Quispamsis; four brothers, Abel (Noella) of Moncton, George (Odile) of Memramcook, Normal (Giselle) of Moncton and Bernard (Jeannita) of Fredericton; seven sisters, Patricia (Emile) Goguen of Moncton, Stella Thibodeau of Rogersville, Cecile (Guillaume) Despres of Quebec, Julia (Leo) Richard of Toronto, Minnie (Zoel) Maillet of Moncton, Ernestine (Donald) Gaudet of Bathurst and Magella (Gilles) Casey of Moncton; Adored by his only grandchild Nicholas Maloney; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, March 25, 1999 10:00 A.M. from St. Ann's Church. Interment to take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Visiting Tuesday 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Charity of Donor's Choice would be appreciated by the family.
