Jean-Louis “John” Boudreau of Saint John passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, July 1, 2016. Born in Ste. Rose, NB December of 1932, he was the son of the late Edouard and Alexandrine (Caissie) Boudreau. John is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years Georgette (Arseneault) Boudreau of Saint John; children Ludger of Saint John, Steven of Toronto, Marlene Meating Margeson (Ron) of Saint John and Donald (Denise) of Saint John; chosen daughter Debbie Roy- Boudreau (Stephane) of Quispamsis; grandchildren Natalie, Erica, Rochelle, Cory and Haylee; brother Levis Boudreau (Nicole) of Oromocto;  sisters Mae Boudreau-Pedersen, Alfreda Thebeau both of Moncton, Exelda Gaston, Elmire Grant (Conrad), Valentine Desrosiers (Jean-Pierre) all of Shediac and Edouardine Boudreau (Delpha) of Miscou; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Amedee.  John worked at the Port of Saint John for over 30 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of ILA Association Local 273; active member of  KOC Council # 6770, 30 & Up Club, Arc en Ciel, Westside Bowling League and enjoyed his game of golf. John was a devoted husband, father, pepere, brother, uncle and friend.  Resting at Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Monday July 4th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from  Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 360 Dufferin Row on Tuesday July 5th, 2016 at 12 noon. Private family interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date. Donations in John’s memory can be made to Bobby’s Hospice, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Assumption Church or the charity of the donor’s choice.
