Harold Robert Gabriel

Gabriel, Harold Robert- passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday July 5th, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Harold was born in Saint John NB. on December 29th, 1952 to the late Mamie (Tibbitts) and George Gabriel. Harold is survived by his loving wife Jane, son Andrew Robert (Amanda) Gabriel of Saint John, daughter Mary Jane Gabriel of Ottawa Ont., brother John Richard (Dianne) Gabriel of Saint John, sisters Christina Mae (Paul) Gabriel-Henderson of Moncton and Linda (Alan) Stewart of Saint John, three precious grandchildren Jordan, Brendan and Hailey, nieces and nephews and a special guardian angel Cherry. Besides his parents, Harold is predeceased by brothers Francis Joseph and James Daniel Gabriel. He was director of operations at Market Square for 23 years, prior he worked at the Irving Refinery, he received his diploma in Electronic Engineering Technology from the New Brunswick Community College in 1973 and his Journeyman Certificate in Industrial Instrumentation in 1978 as well he attained Certification in Computer Programming and was an instructor in Computer Programming in the night school program at the New Brunswick Community College, Saint John Campus from 1978-1982. Mr. Gabriel also obtained his 4th, class Engineering Certificate in 1984 and was a member of I.B.E.W. Local # 502. Harold will be remembered for his love, kindness, selfless, patience, and compassion for other people.
