Garnet Gregory “Greg” Scott, loving husband of Denise (Fancy) Scott passed away peacefully at his home on Friday July 1, 2011. Born 1955 in Caladonia, NS he was the son of the late Donald J. and Dorothy (Legere) Scott. Greg worked as a Power Engineer for Baxter Dairies. He was a muscle car enthusiast, loved road trips, puttering around the yard, watching suspense movies, reading Steven King books, but most of all spending time with his family.
In addition to his loving and devoted wife Denise of 38 years he is survived by his sons Donald Joseph Scott (Sara) and Christopher Robin Scott both of Saint John; grandchildren Ayden and Sofie; daughter Tracey Lowe (Chris) and four grandchildren of Eastern Passage, NS; sister Joan Orde (Eric) of Grandville Ferry, NS; mother-in-law Faye Fancy of Saint John; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Following cremation, visitations will be held from Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Monday July 4, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday July 5, 2011 at 2 p.m. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Greg made to the Extra Mural Program or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
