Frederick Ralph Logan

Logan, Frederick Ralph- the death of Frederick “Fred” Ralph Logan of Saint John, NB husband of Joan R. (Rogers) Logan, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Palliative Care Unit with his family by his side on Saturday March 12, 2011. Born in Saint John on August 7th, 1935 he was a son of the late Elvin and Dorothy (Harris) Logan. Fred was a Stationary Engineer for many years and worked the last 25 years at St. Joseph’s Hospital until his retirement. He was a member of the City and District Dart league for 25 years, and enjoyed his summers with his families at the camp. Besides his parents Fred was predeceased by a brother Robert, sisters Jean and Mary and uncle Dave. He is survived by his loving wife Joan of 55 years, children Frederick “Lee”, Glenn (Dee Dee), Susan Lanteigne (Andrew), Barry K. (Brenda J.), and Joan Tilly (Kevin), brothers David (Doreen), James (Judy), sisters Barbara Burgess, Eileen Lewis, Dorothy Peters (Frank), Marion King (Murray) and Patricia Connolly, 11 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and long time family friend Father Donald Breen. He will be sadly missed by his pet pal Lacey.
      
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424), with visiting on Tuesday March 15, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Holy Trinity Church Rockland Road on Wednesday March 16, 2011 at 12:00 o’clock. Following cremation a private family interment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Fred can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
