To the Raynes Family

Jamie, Paige and I are  very sad to hear the news of your loss of Floyd.
I felt Floyd was my mentor at Kent and I loved talking about or camps. When I lost my last job he was doing everything he could to help me out with the JDI Companies, I will never forget him.
I was looking forward to working with him again at the new west side store.
Floyd always showed me great respect and he was one of the best and real men I new. Sorry I missed the visiting and funeral, I just found this evening. Please except our love and prayers and our condolences.

Please accept my sincere sympathy in the passing of Floyd. I worked with Floyd at Kent for a short while. Floyd always made me smile. I use to tease him and he would tease back. A Great Man. He always reminded me of my Dad. A very kind and caring person. Even after I left Kent, he always had a hug for me when I would come in to the store. Kent has certainly lost a legend and pioneer! It just won't be the same going to the store.  A Real Gentlemen and He will be missed.

Floyd Raynes was like an angel to me. I respect, admire and love him so much. When we moved to Saint John we decided to build our house ourselves and that was a big challenge for foreigners not knowing anybody or even the city. God put Floyd in my way, he was a great help to me with all that knowledge he always was always ready to share with that big smile and his kind words. I learned to love Kents through him and once my house was ready I started working for them and it was a celebration every time we met. God traces our line of live and I am so greatful he made our lines cross. Floyd smiles and hugs will be always with me. My condolences to his wife and rest of the family, we all lost a great man who will be tremendously missed.

Mark and the family of the late Floyd Raynes,

It deeply saddens me to know that the world has lost another great man.
I often sit and wonder why the Lord Takes all the good ones, but I guess he  has something great instore for Floyd. Unfortunately I can't be there for you in your time of need but I hope it helps to know that my Thoughts and Prayers are with all of you. I remember many years ago Mark and I would get into some sort of problem and Floyd would just laugh and shrug it off while Carol was in the Kitchen making Whoopee Pies. The world sure has lost an incredible man. May He rest in Peace and may God give you the strength to get through these saddaned times.  Please accept my condolences. Peter.

Carol, Tina, Mark & Cheryl,

My father (Vince) called to tell me the sad news about Floyd's passing.
I was just recently home visiting - I saw Floyd & we talked like we always do -
he updated me on his family, life & as always parted with a hug & a chuckle.
Floyd has been apart of Kent & my life for as long as I can remember.
He was part of what is familiar about Kent & parts of my own father's life.
He was a good man & his love for his wife, kids, grand kids & his siblings was felt in every conversation.
His family was where you knew his heart rested.
Words are not enough to express how sorry I am for your loss.
I will miss him but I am so happy to have known him for so very long.
I hope in time you will find healing in the memories you made with him & the love that he had for all of you.
You are in my thoughts & heart.

Today I went into the Kent store for the first time in many months. As we approached the store my husband noticed the flags were at half mast. Concerned, I approached a sales clerk only to receive the sad news about this wonderful man who gave so much to this company, to it's customers and most of all the kindness and mentoring he gave to all of his "Kent" family. He was one of a kind!  He genuinely cared for people and loved to share a funny story or joke!  It was also evident how much he loved and was proud of his family!  Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time!  He will be missed by so many!

I was very sad to learn today of Floyd's passing. Although currently a law student at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, I spent the last four summers working as a cashier at Kent. Floyd used to share law stories and crack lawyer jokes with me. He certainly made a day as a cashier on the contractor's desk much more interesting and he never failed to stop by the customer service desk to see how our days were going. I also remember seeing him walking his dog when I would venture to the West Side for an ice cream at the Pumpkin Patch. Floyd was a nice man with many stories who I will miss.

Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of Floyd. The world has lost a wonderful man with the kindest heart.  I worked with Floyd at KENT from 2001-2006 and he was never without a kind word or a hug for me.  Any question I had, he would explain to me, never talking down to me or assuming I should know the answer.  That meant a lot to me.  He even took the time to tell me how proud he was of me when I graduated from University.  He will be sorely missed by everyone whose lives he touched.  You are all in my thoughts.
