Faye Elizabeth Smith

SMITH, Faye- It is with heavy hearts the family announce the death of Faye Elizabeth Smith devoted wife of 40 years of Rick Smith of Saint John, which occurred unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday April 24, 2010. Born 1947 in Saint John to the late Dr. Stephen D. Clark and Mrs. June D. (Power) Clark of Saint John West. Faye was an Elementary School Teacher and taught for over 30 years at Hazen White, Crescent Valley and Centennial Elementary Schools, retiring in 2002. She was one of the organizing teachers in the Marigolds on Main Street and continued her commitment following her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, handicrafts and spending time with family and friends. Faye is survived and will be greatly missed by her loving husband Rick; mother June; son Mark of Saint John; daughter Regan Lagrandeur (Denis) of Durham Bridge; one precious grandson Sylvain; three sisters Mary Jane Young (Robert) of Tacoma, WA, Barbara J. Clark (Malcolm Bostwick) of Grand Bay-Westfield and Deborah L. Clark (Andrew Brewin) of Ottawa, ON; one brother Stephen A. W. Clark of Saint John; several nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins and many friends.
