Elizé J. Robichaud

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Elizé Joseph Robichaud which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, February 2nd, 2014.  Born 1940, in Fairisle, Northumberland County, he was the son of the late Amedée and Rose (Albert) Robichaud.  Elizé worked at the Box Factory on Dever Road. and afterwards, in a two cycle motor shop on the West Side doing small engine repairs.  He retired as a District #8 school bus driver after 20 years.  He loved to hunt and fish.  Elizé enjoyed a good cup of tea and reading and watching old westerns.  
Elizé will be greatly missed by his loving wife Carmelle (Breau) of 55 years; daughters Rosa Robichaud (Gilbert Crevier) of Saint John, Tina Legault (Chris) of Saint John, Sylvie Leadbeater (Chris) of Fredericton; brothers Raymond (Marie) of Tracadie, Otto (late Hilda) of Fairisle, Martin (Geneva) of Wickham, Etienne (Paulette) of Bathurst, Donat (Adeline) of Douglastown, Ronald (Majela) of Village St. Laurent; sisters Edith of Fairisle, Sr. Angèle of Saint-Paul, Amanda of Fairisle, Régine of Fairisle, Marguerite (Bill Windsor) of Salisbury; sister-in-law Jeanne; grandchildren Adam, James, Valérie, Bradley, Emily, Julie and Sophia as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.   Besides his parents, Elizé was predeceased by his son Larry and brothers Roméo and Edmond.  
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Thursday, February 6th, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.  Funeral service will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, February 7th, 2014 at 1 p.m.  Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in the spring.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Elizé’s memory may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation, Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
