David,
It was with sadness I read of the passing of your mother. She was a wonderful friend to me when we taught together at Prince Charles School. She was loved by all her students.

My deepest condolences to family and friends. Losing a loved one is never easy. However, the Bible offers us a wonderful hope in that we will see these precious ones again soon. John 5:28: "... all those in the memorial tomb will hear his voice and come out ". Psalm 37:29 “The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it“. May the God of all comfort strengthen you during this difficult time. With deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers.

Seeing this picture of my Aunt brings back so many memories of the sweet and kind lady that I had the privilege to know and call my aunt. She brought music to our family Boxing Day gatherings on the piano and always, always brought such warmth and love no matter where she went.
My dear cousin David, I wish I were not across the country and could be with you. Please know you are in my thoughts and that I am sending you much love and prayers for comfort. XO

Mrs Randell was my grade 3 teacher at either Aberdeen or Prince Charles School. I can't remember exactly which grade I was in when the Aberdeen School closed.
Mrs Randall had a great impact on my life. Back then the teachers taught us music and we were in school choirs, competing in the music festival and we sang in Christmas and closings for our parents. Mrs Randell saw that I had talent and encouraged my mother to find a voice teacher for me. Consequently, I did take voice lessons through grade 12 and piano lessons through jr. high. I went on to a college in Rhode Island with a major in music. I have sung mostly in church and at times sang before congregations of many hundreds. I also sang in several choirs and choral groups over the years. My love for music will be with me until the day that I too shall pass.
I remember Mrs Randell as being kind to her class. I wanted to do well in her class and I can truly say I do not remember hearing her raise her voice to her students.
Of all the teaches I had in my formative years, Mrs Randell stands out as my favourite.
i hope that she liveda good life. I am sure that you too have many wonderful memories of her sweet and nurturing ways.
My sincere condolence to each of you. I am sorry that I am unable to visit and tell you in person, but myself and my husband are Florida snowbirds. We are here for awhile yet. I am sure that many of her students will be there yo share similar stories.
