David "Wink" Walter Stephenson

David “Wink” Walter Stephenson of Rothesay, NB passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 7, 2015, at his home. Born April 8, 1945 in Saint John he is the son of the late Walter and Vera (Saunders) Stephenson. 

Wink was an avid hunter, he loved sports, especially hockey and his Montreal Canadians.

He is survived by his son Peter Stephenson of Edmonton; daughter Rebecca Logan of York, UK; step-son Craig Smith (Anna); grandchildren Sophie, Ben, Emily, Massimo and Chloe; special friend Pat Thibodeau and her children Tiffany Weiss (Horst), Robin Thibodeau (Alex) and Scott Thibodeau; brothers Bud Stephenson (Linda) of Fredericton and Don Stephenson (Pauline) of Ohio; sisters Janet Garfield (Ivan) of Saint John and Susan Daley (Roy) of Dartmouth, NS; Aunt Inez of Saint John; special friends Bruce and Connie Melanson and their family; many nieces, nephews and cousins who were very close to him.

In keeping with David’s wishes there will be no visitation. The family invites you to attend a memorial service on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at 3 p.m., at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, 12 Quispamsis Road, Quispamsis, followed by a reception in the church hall. Remembrances in memory of Wink may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or the SPCA Animal Rescue. Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, Saint John (646-2424).
