David Richard Golden

It is with great sadness the family of David Golden announce his death which occurred on June 8, 2016 at home, surrounded by his loving family. David was born in Saint John February of 1943 to the late William and Dorothy (McKnight) Golden. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. David worked at the Port of Saint John for many years retiring in 2008. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, enjoyed reading, gospel music and dressing up at Halloween as Santa. David will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 52 years,  Jacqueline (Townes) Golden of Saint John; children Tina Golden of Saint John, Tanya Vienneau (Henry) of Nackawic and Zackery Golden of Saint John; precious grandchildren Matthew, Victoria and Preston; brothers Billy Golden and John Golden (Julie) of Kingston and sisters Debora Perry (Peter) of Lorneville and Delores Mills (John) of Calgary, AB and Dorothy Staniforth (Mark) of Canmore, AB; several nieces, nephews and friends and special canine companion Ezzie. Along with his parents; David was predeceased by son Timothy Golden and brother Robert Golden.

By request there will be no visitation or service. Donations in David’s memory can be made to the MS Society or to the SPCA.
