Albert J. Kindred

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Albert John Kindred which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, July 5, 2013.  Born 1940, in Saint John, he was the son of the late James and Greta (O’Hara) Kindred.  For many years Al was employed as a cook with the Gladstone Tavern and held various jobs around the city.  He was a member of the Brunswick Drive Highrise Club and a volunteer for the Salvation Army Kettle.  
Al will be greatly missed by his sister Dorothy Anne Worden (Kirk) of Fredericton, NB; special friends Iris Meehan of Saint John and Beverley and Florent Roy of Miramichi, NB; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Besides his parents, Al was predeceased by his sister Leatha “Bunny” and brother Gerald.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Monday, July 8th from 7 to 9 p.m. A graveside service will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery on Tuesday, July 9th at 1 p.m.  Donations in Al’s memory may be made to Bobby’s Hospice or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
