Aidan Butler Kane

With broken hearts, we sadly announce the unexpected passing of Aidan Butler Kane, devoted and loving husband of Andrea Lynn (Murray) Kane, which occurred on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at his home. Born February 15, 1969 in Beaverlodge, AB he is the son of Robert and Joan Kane.

Aidan graduated from Saint John High School in 1987. He was a true outdoorsman, loved camping, fishing and everything Boston Red Sox and Edmonton Oilers. Aidan worked for Moosehead Breweries Ltd. in the bottle shop and more recently in fermenting. He spent countless hours supporting his children’s activities through dance and hockey. He will be sadly missed and always remembered.

In addition to his parents Bob and Joan, loving wife Andrea, he is survived by his children Julia and Ethan, who he was so proud of. He is also survived by his siblings Deirdre Desmond (John), Sarah Kane and Brendan Kane (Angela); father and mother-in-law Sherman and Mary (Wilcox) Murray; brother-in-law David Murray (Christina); canine companions Jaxon and Keah and feline companion Phoebe; many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady of Assumption Church on Tuesday, November 15 at 12 noon. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the IWK Health Center, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
