Dear Family... I am in shock. I did not know Val was ill. I last saw her just before she retired. I met Val at SJSN, we graduated together. We also did our Post Grad in MH together. I was so impressed in nursing school - how she managed her family, classes and still managed to have great marks and great smile! I am so sad to hear of her passing. The world lost a wonderful lady and nurse! My heartfelt condolences to you all!

To Marg and family, I was sorry to hear of Val's passing. We were best friends throughout nursing school and started working at Ridgewood within 24 hr of each other. For years we spoke on the phone every day. I loved her laugh and sense of humour. I know that she will be missed. Keeping you all in my prayers, Marian

I worked with Val for several years on various Risk Management projects. She was a knowledgeable resource and had a great way of helping her teams meet their targets through the delivery of patient focused care. I enjoyed her support and encouragement. Condolences to Val''s family. Praying for comfort at this difficult time.

Dave:
Trina and I just read of your Mothers passing. We are in Florida but want you to know that hearts are broken to know that the wonderful person we know and you call mom has left us. If there is anything we can do for you to help you through these troubling times don't hesitate to let us know. Our prayers are with you and other family members. Your mom was one those ladies who left you with a smile each time we met. She was very proud of you and you have been left a very strong
heritage thru her. Wish we could be there to hug you and tell how proud we are that you were Brad's best friend.

Love:
Bob and Trina

To Kendra, David, Karla and Marg - Remember the good times.
As I continue to trudge the road of happy destiny, I can still remember Val and I as kids chasing each other around the huge tree in the backyard at #7 Queens Road and the time she fell into Beaver Lake on Mt. Royal........and Val was one of the few people who always called me Johnny.

There is a special place in my heart for my dearest friend who came into my life over 40 years ago and became a significant companion throughout all the twist and turns, the good times, the hard times and the everyday occurrences. We were there for each other to celebrate, to provide mutual support, to enjoy so many special moments throughout the years. She always added that special “spark” whether it be a big occasion, or just an ordinary outing – she was so much fun, and when needed, a trusted mentor and the most engaging person with whom to bounce ideas around. Oh the wonderful talks we had and how I could always count on Val to challenge me to see things from different perspectives. There won't be a place that I will go from now on that won't have a vivid memory of the times we had gone there together. Valerie, I love you, I miss you, and will forever be grateful for the gift of our friendship . . . a gift that will continue to flourish and nourish my being beyond the realms of this world. Until we meet again dear friend! My heartfelt love and sympathy for Karla, Kendra and children, David and Marj – you are all like family to me.
