To: All the Dear Family of Phyllis Gautreau:
My heart aches tonight after reading this today on the computer. Oh how I loved this woman so much. Her stories, her laughter, her memories, kindness and so loving to me as I did my job for her. She always made me laugh while she would rock in the rocking chair and knit while I worked. Sometimes I had to sit on the couch I was laughing so hard from her stories, then get up and work again. She always would offer me a piece of her blueberry cake with the sauce on it. And I cup of tea. Oh it was the best cake ever, or a homemade muffin... Man she could cook in her day. She let me copy recipes from her book and I still make them today and think of her every time I'd make one and then smile a little smile for her. I will surely miss this beautiful soul.
May you all find comfort knowing she's at peace now! I know I will...She's in God's hands now.
love Jean Melvin
