Wayne Peters Obituary

It is with deep sorrow and immense sadness that the family of Wayne Joseph Peters announce his passing on April 13,2024 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Wayne was born in Dieppe, NB on August 25, 1957, he was the only son of the late Henry and Catherine (Chaisson) Peters.

Wayne was not a man of many words, but he loved to use the phrases "beauty beauty", “gotcha gotcha", and "Can't thank you enough". He was a loyal fan and loved watching the Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays play. Wayne loved bargain hunting, yard sales and found some great treasures. He collected books and CD's and was a faithful listener to the radio.  Wayne enjoyed playing crib, bowling and
bingo. In his earlier years, he would host many nights of cards, with his friends. He treasured spending time with family and always looked forward to family dinners.

He is survived by his Aunt Emelda Chaisson and Uncle Lawrence Buote of Quebec. Wayne will be dearly missed by his sisters: Jean (Pat) Parks, Esther Peters and Linda (Murray) Power. Nieces and nephews: Brad (Amy) Parks, Jennifer (Darnell) Hogan, Justin (Kate)Power, Calvin (Sarah) Power, Kyle (Tamara) Peters, and Alaina Allen. Great nieces and nephews, Catlin (Allie) Parks, Alexa (Sean) Parks, Brett (Rayann) Wallace, Katana (Riley) Wallace, Makenzie Burbridge, Grace Thorne, Ben Power, Roman Thorne, Maddie Gavel, Sam Power, Layla Parks, Charlotte Peters and Nora Power; Great Great nieces and nephew: Zoe Hanson, Paisley and Casey Kennedy.

He will be truly missed by long time friends Wayne McRae, Gary and Wayne Brown and Steven McIsaac.. Along with all the crib players at branch 69 legion.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family would like to thank the staff of 4D North and the SICU for the loving care they have given Wayne. Especially his favorite nurse, Jennifer in SICU.

Resting at Fundy funeral home. Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 18th from 2:00-8:00 PM. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 19, at 10:30 AM at Fundy Funeral Chapel. Wayne's final resting place will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Wayne's memory can be made to Mind Care NB or to charity of donor’s choice.
