Vincent Charles Cannon

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vincent Charles Cannon on May 15, 2025, at Shannex-Tucker Hall, surrounded by the love of his family.  He was born in Saint John, NB, on August 17, 1946, to the late Stanley and Mabel (Estey) Cannon.

After graduating from Vocational School, he moved to BC in his early 20’s and lived there until 1986 when he moved back to Saint John.  He was a long-haul truck drive for over 40 years, travelling all the way from Florida to Alaska.  Vince was a collector of many things over the years and always saw something that he wanted to fix and make better again…and he did.  Vince could fix anything.  He was always quick to give to anyone in need something they wanted or needed.  He was a very kind and generous man.  He was an outgoing man and loved to tell a joke and even after moving into Shannex in 2022, he still maintained that outgoing and funny demeanor. 

His family would like to extend their thanks to the nurses and staff of Lily Court and send a special thanks to Bobby who teased and cheered Vince up every day that he was an Lily Court. 

Vince is survived by his son, Jeremy; his brother, Robert (Sharon); his sister, Joanne (Larry) and sister-in-law, Diana; as well as nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Benn and Glenn; and his sister, Eleanor. 

Vince truly believed in the Bible’s promise to restore the earth to the Paradise condition it was at the start.  Once that is accomplished, he and all his loved ones will be resurrected right here on our beautiful earth.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424).  In keeping with Vince’s wishes, a private interment with his family will take place at a later date.  For those who wish, memorial donations in his memory to Alzheimer's or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by his family.
