It is with broken hearts that the family of Tara Lynne Collicott (Moore) wish to announce her passing which occurred on March 10, 2021 at the Saint John Regional Hospital following several years battling a chronic illness. Born in Saint John on November 20, 1972, she was the daughter of Bonnie Marks and Murray Moore.
She is survived by the love of her life, her son Noah Collicott, husband Sean Collicott, her mother Bonnie Marks and step father Brian Marks; father Murray Moore (Rose); sister Cori Moore-McDade; nephews Heath and Kaelan McDade, step-niece Penny McCormick, step-sisters Stephanie McCormick (Branden) and Kristen Marks (Keegan) as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is pre-deceased by her cherished grandparents Spurgeon and Alta Betts and Bramwell and Pauline Moore and her brother-in-law Les McDade.
Tara was a kind and creative person who had many talents. She had a natural proclivity for anything requiring imagination and dexterity. As a child, this led her to teach herself how to play the piano and use her skills to help lead church congregations in Sunday worship. She loved to try her hand at any type of craft such as cross stitch, floral arrangements, wreath decorating, refurbishing furniture, and home decoration. She had a knack for seeing how a seemingly old or unusable object could be made into something beautiful. She enjoyed baking and loved to make cookies with her son Noah, rarely choosing a simple cookie when there was something cute and artistic that she could make instead. She also loved to make special dishes to bring to social events, and enjoyed special family meals and get togethers.
Of all the things Tara was good at, she was best at loving her son Noah - he was her pride and joy. She loved to spend time with him and thought he was the most brilliant and funny person in the whole world. She passed her creativity onto him, as well as her incredible sense of humour. The two of them spent many hours laughing and talking and sharing a very special bond.
Visiting hours will be on Monday, March 15th from 12:30-2:00 at Kings Church, 332 Hampton Road, Quispamsis, with a celebration of Tara’s life to follow at 3:00. A private family interment will take place at a later time. Donations in memory of Tara may be made to the MS Society or can be donated to her son Noah's education fund.
