It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tanya Darlene Brown-Clark on November 14, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born in Saint John on July 26, 1963, to the late Winfield and Christine Ann (Machum) Brown.
Tanya graduated from Saint John High School and had a long career in customer service, most notably at the Lawton’s uptown Saint John. She liked to read, make crafts, and loved spending time with her cat. One of the great joys in her life was parenthood, and she was a devoted and loving mother to her son Brandon. In 2020 Tanya was heartbroken when Brandon unexpectedly passed away, and she continued to carry and honour his memory and her role as a mother. Her family loved her very much, and she is remembered as an unfailingly kind individual who had care for everyone she encountered. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her brother, Jonathan (Louise Godbout); Aunts Myrtle, Ruth Jennings, and Harriet Tracy; Uncle Kenneth Machum; half brothers Vincent and Jimmy Brown, as well as many cousins and extended family members. In addition to her parents and son, she was predeceased by her brother Richard.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424). In keeping with Tanya’s wishes, no services will be held. If you would like to honor Tanya’s memory, the family suggests offering an act of kindness to another, as Tanya had always done.
