The family of Richard Charles Malcolm Kirkpatrick announce his passing which took place in Vancouver, British Columbia on November 28, 2022. Richard is the son of Marianne Bryson and Richard (Margaret) Kirkpatrick all of Saint John.
Rick grew up in Saint John. He played baseball in his early years and continued to do so for many years in the slow pitch league. Rick enjoyed playing both pool and darts and could never pass up a good party with friends and family.
Besides his parents, Rick is survived by his children Tamara McAdam (Shane), grandchildren Isabella, Olivia and Asher, Cortney Richards (Andrew), Mia Sheppard, Austin Lemieux and Wyatt Lemieux, his brother Matthew Kirkpatrick (Christine) and by his sisters Trisha Kirkpatrick (Steven), Meaghan Kirkpatrick (Jacob) and Rebecca Mason (Joseph).
Also survived by his maternal grandmother Patricia Bryson, his wife Natasha Sheppard, and his step-children Makaila, Ashley, Brycetin, Carlos and Angelo, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Predeceased by his daughter Ashley Richards, maternal grandfather Charles Bryson, paternal grandparents Malcolm Kirkpatrick and Helen Doiron (late Art) and by stepfather George Bryson.
Rick will always be remembered for his contagious laugh, that crooked smile of his and the way he lived his life to the fullest. Rick lived his life the way he wanted and followed his own path wherever that would lead him.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Visitation will take place on Friday, December 30, 2022 between the hours of 2-8 pm. A celebration of Rick’s life will be held from the Fundy Chapel on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at a later date.
