Pierre Boucher

Pierre Boucher is finally at peace after his battle with two forms of Dementia ended on September 29, 2025.
 
He was born on May 27, 1960, in St-Jean-Sur-Richelieu, Quebec to Bernadette (Brisson) Boucher and Gaston Boucher.
 
Pierre left his hometown to attend university in Ottawa and stayed in the Ottawa area until his retirement in 2020. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Ottawa in 1984 and his Masters in International Development and Cooperation in 1986. 
 
He began his career at the Canadian Construction Association and was the Chief Operating Officer when he left there. Over his career he was the CEO of the Canadian Printing Industries Association, President of Canadian Construction Innovations and finished his career as CEO of the Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada.
 
Pierre was a kind-hearted and generous person, who wanted to help others when he could. He was a loving father, who enjoyed spending time with his sons. Pierre enjoyed golfing, travelling, learning about other cultures, skiing and cooking.
 
Pierre met his wife Carol while he worked at CCA and she participated in committees at the association as part of her career. They married in 2012 and blended their family of 4 boys. In 2019 they made the decision to retire and move to Carol’s hometown of Saint John, NB. 
 
He is survived by his wife Carol O’Brien-Boucher, children Alexandre Geduld-Boucher (Chelsea) of New Market, ON, Patrick Geduld-Boucher (Erin) of Ottawa, Corey Armstrong (Sarah) of Saint John and Evan Armstrong of Saint John, grandson Blake, sister Natalie Boucher (Isabelle) of Chesterville, QC, brother Daniel (Eleanor) of Hawkesbury, ON, nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his father Gaston in 2004 and Mother Bernadette in 2025.
 
Visitation will be held at Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (506) 646-2424, on October 25, 2025, Visitation will take place 12-2 with a Funeral Liturgy at 2pm, Reception to follow the service in the reception hall.  For those unable to attend, please click here to view livestream;

Pierre Boucher est enfin en paix après sa bataille contre deux formes de démence qui s'est terminée le 29 septembre 2025.
 
Il est né le 27 mai 1960 à St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, au Québec, fils de Bernadette (Brisson) Boucher et de Gaston Boucher.
 
Pierre a quitté sa ville natale pour étudier à l'université d’Ottawa et est resté dans la région jusqu'à sa retraite en 2020. Il a obtenu son Baccalauréat ès arts de l'Université d'Ottawa en 1984 et sa Maîtrise en développement international et coopération en 1986. 
 
Il a commencé sa carrière à l'Association canadienne de la construction et était chef de l'exploitation lorsqu'il a quitté. Au cours de sa carrière, il a été chef de la direction de l'Association canadienne de l’imprimerie, président du Canadian Printing Industries Association et a terminé sa carrière en tant que chef de la direction du Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada.
 
Pierre était une personne généreuse et de bon cœur, qui voulait aider les autres quand il le pouvait. C'était un père aimant, qui aimait passer du temps avec ses fils. Pierre aimait jouer au golf, voyager, découvrir d'autres cultures, skier et cuisiner. 
 
Pierre a rencontré son épouse Carol alors qu'il travaillait à l'ACC et elle a participé à des comités de l'association dans le cadre de sa carrière. Ils se sont mariés en 2012 et ont regroupé leur famille de 4 garçons. En 2019, ils ont pris la décision de prendre leur retraite et de déménager dans la ville natale de Carol, Saint John, au Nouveau-Brunswick.
 
Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Carol O'Brien-Boucher, ses enfants Alexandre Geduld-Boucher (Chelsea) de New Market, ON, Patrick Geduld-Boucher (Erin) d'Ottawa, Corey Armstrong (Sarah) de Saint John et Evan Armstrong de Saint John, son petit-fils Blake, sa sœur Natalie Boucher (Isabelle) de Chesterville, QC, son frère Daniel (Eleanor) de Hawkesbury, ON, ses nièces, neveux et cousins. Il a été prédécédé par son père Gaston en 2004 et par sa mère Bernadette en 2025.
 
 Les visites auront lieu au salon funéraire Fundy, situé au 230 chemin Westmorland (506) 646-2424, le 25 octobre 2025. Les visites se tiendront de 12 h à 14 h, suivies d'une liturgie funéraire à 14 h. Une réception suivra le service dans la salle de réception.
