Norman Gogan Obituary

Updated Service Information:

It is with full hearts that the family of Norman Joseph Gogan announce his passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on January 1, 2022.  Born in Saint John, Norm was a son of the late Henry and Margaret (Reid) Gogan.  He worked as a counselor for Post Secondary Education and Labour with the Federal and Provincial Governments before his retirement.  He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 58.  Norm was a quiet, simple, good-hearted man with an affinity for lobster and Alpine beer.  A major sports fanatic, he could be relied on for the latest scores and standing, and you could be sure he was cheering for the Montreal Canadiens, the New York Yankees and the New York Giants.  He enjoyed many trips to Florida, and he didn’t need a map to find his way; he had a great sense of direction.  He always looked forward to playing SPCA BINGO in Pocologan with Ginette & Vince.

Norm is survived by his loving companion Jeannine Arseneault of Quispamsis; his son Patrick Gogan of Quispamsis; his step-daughters:  Nicole Georgoudis (Mike) and Michelle Bourque (Chris), all of Rothesay; his brother Ken Gogan (Diana) of Saint John; his grandchildren:  Paul, Anna, Steven, and Andre; his nephews:  Jason Gogan (Tammy) and Michael Gogan (Jennifer); his special friend Ivan Clewley; as well as by many extended family members and good friends.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd., Saint John, NB (506-646-2424).  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022 from St. Marks Catholic Church (171 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB, E2E 2V6)

Donations to the Alzheimer’s society of Canada or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.  Online condolences are available at:  www.fundyfuneralhome.com
