Mike Costello Sr. Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Michael Patrick Costello Sr. which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, October 14th, 2023. Born 1960, in Halifax, NS, he is the son of the late Gus Costello. Mike worked as an Analyst for Nordia. He enjoyed cooking and gardening. Family was most important to him and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Mike is survived by his partner Shari Bleakney of 17 years of Rothesay; his children Michael Costello Jr. (Samantha) of Embrun, ON; Ryan Costello (Kellie Sloan) of Miramichi, NB, Keith Costello (Bonnie) of Fredericton, NB, Emily Lawton (Jesse) of Hawaii, Leigh-Anne Bleakney-Long (Jack) of Rothesay, NB, Laura Bleakney-Long of Rothesay, NB; sisters Darlene Mullin (Bill) of Kingston, NB, Connie Costello of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren Kailer, Emma, Kaylum, Nicole, Nathan Allison, Jack, Eli and Madison; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424). As per Mike’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private celebration of Mike’s life will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Mike may be made to The Diabetes Association, Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
