Michael J. Watson

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Michael Jack Watson which occurred on Monday, January 3rd, 2022 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born 1937, in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Percy Jack Watson and Myrtle Margaret Watson (Hazlett). Mike worked for 34 years with Willett Foods as Purchasing Agent (Produce). He was well respected in his field and was Past President of the Atlantic Fresh Produce Association. Mike was an avid outdoorsman and especially loved his time at the lake with Jenette, and puttering endlessly around the property.

Mike is survived by his loving and devoted wife Jenette Watson (Price) of 28 years; daughters Shelly and Sandra; step-daughters Paula and Alison; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Along with his parents, Mike was predeceased by his brothers, Peter, Paul and Brian, his son David, and step-son Clayton.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there will be no visitation or funeral service.  Private services may be held at a later date.  Donations in memory of Mike may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, MS Society of Canada or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
