Margaret Elizabeth (Nothrop) Gilks-Gordon

On Sunday evening, April 15, our precious Marg passed away.  A loving mother, a dear wife, a wonderful Gramma, a loved sister, and a beloved friend to so, so many. Her love and kindness could not be measured.

Marg had a life filled with family and friends, always busy helping others.  She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1958 and enjoyed a lifetime of serving Jehovah.

She was pre-deceased by her little girl Cathy, and her loving husband of 52 years, Alfred.  She was just beginning a new happy chapter in her life with husband Claude, and loved his family as her very own. 

She is missed by so many who loved her deeply:  Her sister Marie Kennedy and husband David; her brother Ed and wife Carol, her loving son Drew and wife Kara, her grandson Joshua, and several nieces and nephews.  Having recently remarried, she is deeply missed by her caring, sweet husband Claude.  His loving children embraced Marg with open hearts.  She was so looking forward to making new memories with them.

Very often, Marg would be found busy working and helping others.  She was indispensible at countless volunteer construction projects throughout the years; she loved camping and travelling; she was a tremendous caregiver, a wonderful knitter, and famous for her butter tarts!

Her strong faith and love of Jehovah grounded Marg throughout her life and gave her remarkable strength.  She held firmly to the hope of the resurrection of John 11:25.  We long for that time, and the day we can welcome her back in our arms.

We take comfort knowing she is resting in the memory of our heavenly father Jehovah.

Our friends and family will gather to reflect and share comfort on Sunday, April 22 at 2pm, at the Kingdom Hall on 14 Elliott Road, Quispamsis.  Join us as we share in these memories.
