It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathleen Keeling (King) Milner on August 31, 2024, at Bobby’s Hospice, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Louth, England, on November 14, 1937, to her parents, Stephen and Mabel (Malyan) King and was the loving wife to her late husband, Robert.
Kathleen had many varied careers over the years, beginning as a Nurse. She was also an artist and photographer, a talented singer, she bred and showed dogs from her kennel in the Laurentians QC. She returned to the healthcare field running a home for patients with acquired brain injury. Singing and performing were Kathleen’s passion, you could always hear her singing on stage, in the church choir and in her day to day life. She was a wonderful, loving wife, mother and nanny, who lived life her way and loved fully. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her two sons, Paul (Kathleen) and Andrew (Lynn) and grandsons March, Burgess and Troy. Her family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff of both the Saint John Regional Hospital and Bobby’s Hospice for the compassionate care they showed to both Kathleen and her family during the time she was there. Your kindness will not be forgotten.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424) where visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, from 11-1pm with a graveside service at Fernhill Cemetery to follow immediately at 1pm and a celebration of life for family and friends at the Wentworth, 95 Wentworth Street from 2-4pm.
