Joseph "Reggie" Pitre

It is with heavy hearts, the family of Joseph Reginald “Reggie” Pitre, announces his passing which occurred on Wednesday, August 1st 2018. Born in Bathurst, New Brunswick on February 27th, 1959, he was the loving son to Bernise (Allain) and the late Leonard Pitre.

Along with his mother Bernise, Reggie is survived by his loving spouse Tina Pitre and his daughter Carrie (Dawn Marie) Pitre (Dillyn Ryan Wilson). He is also survived by his brother Rene Pitre (Paula MacKay) and sisters; Irene (Donnie Michaelsen), Denise (Michael) Williams and Giselle Pitre Lively (Terry), two special grandchildren; Brylee and Rowan.

A devoted fan his entire life to the Montreal Canadiens, Reggie had a passion for fishing and hunting. He was employed as a Steel Fitter for many years with CFM/SJSB LTD.

On behalf of our family, we would like give thanks to the Saint John Extra Mural team, Homecare team and the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation for all of the compassion and care shown towards Reggie during his valiant battle with ALS.

Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation hours being held on Thursday, August 2nd between 6-8 PM and Friday, August 3rd  between 2-4 and 6-8pm. Funeral Liturgy will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, August 4th at 10:00 AM with the Rev. David Martin presiding.
