Johann Anton (John Fres)

It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of Johann Anton (John) Fres announces his passing on November 6, 2024, at Bobby’s Hospice. Born in Graz Austria, he is the son of the late Johann and Paula Fres. John leaves behind his two daughters Michelle Roy and Tina Roy (Brad), his brother Peter (Sandi) Fres. Also feeling his loss are his five grandchildren; Kayden, Tristen, Kegan, Kieran, and his only granddaughter Rylee; two great grandchildren Carter, Ayla and two special nieces Jessica and Sarah Fres. Beside his parents John is predeceased by his sister Kristina Fres.

John worked much of his working career for Humpty Dumpty Potato chips as a driver salesman. John had a passion for bowling, he was even inducted into the bowling Hall of Fame, John loved to cook and entertain, in his spare time he could be found playing guitar as he had a passion for music, he enjoyed weightlifting, photography and enjoy his Sundays watching Nascar. John had a huge heart for his mother where he was often called a “momma’s boy”. John also had a very special bond with his loving daughter Tina Roy and son-in-law Brad. He had a very special bond with his best buddy Kegan. John will also be deeply missed by his lifelong friend Bob Martin.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John NB (506-646-2424). In keeping with the families’ wishes there will be no visitation or service. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
