It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Jean Marie (McLaughlin) Buckley, which occurred on Sunday, August 10th, 2025, at the Loch Lomond Villa. Born on April 8th, 1934, in Saint John, NB, she is the daughter of the late George and Harriet McLaughlin. In her earlier years, Jean worked for Unger Laundry before finishing her 30 year career with the Saint John School Board. Jean was an avid Blue Jays fan who enjoyed bowling and bingo. Family was most important to her and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Jean is survived by her sons Jim Buckley (Leslie) of Gardners Creek, George Buckley of Saint John; daughters Linda Hill of Saint John, Tina Siddall of Sussex, Brenda Robidoux (Steve) of Elmsdale, NS, Debra Buckley (Frank) of Saint John; grandchildren Vanessa, James, Melodie, Aaron, Taylor, Norah, Victoria and Kayla; several great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Along with her parents, Jean was predeceased by her husband James Buckley, daughter Carol Jean Buckley, brothers Harold McLaughlin and Bill Bolton, sister Joanne LeBlanc and special friend Jay Ferris.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424) with visitation being held on Wednesday, August 13th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place in the Fundy chapel on Thursday, August 14th at 2 p.m. followed by an interment at Trinity Cemetery in Hammond River.
Donations in memory of Jean may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
